Get Involved: 2026 Point-in-Time Count Information Sessions

The Central MS Continuum of Care is preparing for the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, scheduled for January 2026. The PIT Count is a vital, nationwide effort that surveys and documents individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Locally, this count focuses on Copiah, Hinds, Madison, Rankin, and Warren counties. The data collected plays a critical role in shaping funding decisions, program development, and strategies to address homelessness in our communities.

To ensure a successful and accurate count, we are hosting a series of Information Sessions leading up to the event. These sessions are designed to provide background on the PIT Count, explain why it matters, and share how volunteers and community members can get involved.

📅 Choose a session to attend:

  • October 8, 2025 | 5:30–6:00 PM
  • November 12, 2025 | 5:30–6:00 PM
  • December 10, 2025 | 5:30–6:00 PM
  • January 14, 2026 | 5:30–6:30 PM

📍 Location for all sessions:
New Jerusalem Church – North Campus

Each session will provide valuable information on the PIT Count process and how you can support it. The final session in January will also include mandatory volunteer training for those who will be joining us in the field.

By attending an Information Session, you’ll learn how this effort impacts our region, hear about opportunities to serve, and become part of a dedicated team working toward solutions to homelessness. Together, we can ensure every person is counted and every story is heard.
