We are writing to share important updates regarding the FY 2026 Continuum of Care (CoC) application process.
Deadline
The local application deadline, July 24, 2026, is fast approaching.
Important Change – Paper Applications
Please note that paper applications previously shared on July 12, 2026, are no longer being accepted for renewal projects and will not be considered as part of the review process. New applicants may still submit the fillable paper application, if they are facing technical challenges with completing the application in eSnaps.
Updated Application Instructions
All renewal applicants must:
- Complete their application in eSnaps following the original instructions (the HUD online portal for CoC applications https://esnaps.hud.gov)
- Save the application in eSnaps, but DO NOT submit it in eSnaps at this time
- Three (3) hard copies of the application must be delivered to the offices of Mississippi Housing Partnership by 12 noon on July 24, 2026 for review and ranking.
All new applicants must:
- Complete their application in eSnaps following the original instructions (the HUD online portal for CoC applications https://esnaps.hud.gov)
- Save the application in eSnaps, but DO NOT submit it in eSnaps at this time

HUD Announcement Summary
HUD has officially opened the FY 2026 CoC and YHDP Competition in eSnaps. The following key updates are now available:
- FY 2026 CoC Priority Listing forms and Project Applications are accessible in eSnaps
- HUD’s national submission deadline is August 26, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET
HUD has also released a new Supportive Services Only (SSO) Projects Fact Sheet, which provides:
- Guidance on eligible SSO project types and costs
- Eligibility requirements for participants
- Documentation standards and FAQs
Additionally, HUD has published several important resources to support applicants, including:
- eSnaps Navigational Guides (CoC and Project Applicant Profiles)
- Instructions for accessing project applications
- Detailed instructions for renewal and new projects
- Priority Listing guidance

- YHDP and CoC Planning instructions
